We took a whole period deciding what each scene of our film opening would be. We worked well together drawing and writing out the storyboard, and we are excited to start filming and editing our film.
Rise- I really liked how this film opening was based on sports. I also liked the part where the music went along with the boy dribbling the ball. Also when it got louder when it switched to that player is a cool concept, but maybe if they had the music gradually get louder instead of cutting straight to the loud music would have made it flow more. Offline- This was a pretty average horror movie opening. The girl being in the cage was pretty creative though. I thought the title could have been a little more creative as well. Dear Lover- This was a cool concept for a film opening. How it went to the end so that the movie would be a flashback of how they had gotten into that position. Also the music was soft and made it enjoyable to watch. Dare to Thrill- This was my favorite film opening by far. The music with the car was so energetic and lively. At the end of the film they open the trunk to see something inside. The camera angle coming from inside the trunk makes that scene ...
Five Master Shots- With Audio 1) Music: I used music for my first edit. I had the bass drop when the clip changed from the footballs to the picture of me at football. I did this to make the cut more intense. The music makes the scene very uplifting and motivated as football does in general. I also used music in half of my simultaneity shot. I used it to show the contrast between the harsh storm and the calm beaches of Naples. the music is very energetic and upbeat to help show this contrast. 2) Sound Perspective: I used sound perspective for my parallelism edit. I added all of the sound after the scene was filmed. This wad just a...
We decided to have our opening scene at the school. This is where we will have the main character get into her car to start driving to the bank. The school is a pretty convenient place to film this part of the opening. We started filming shots that we could use for the credits and title of the film. We thought these would be best with a more plain, aesthetic background instead of the action shots.
